NLP/HGE Opportunities
This section is a bit of a personal story and designed to help you understand that I have been there, done that, and got the t-shirt. I want you to understand and see that like you, I'm quite normal, and have resolved my own issues which is why I am able to offer my services to help you with yours! There's quite a lot of information in this section, please take your time and at the end press the button to ask any questions - or pick up the phone!
I had looked for a long time to find a way to help my clients progress further. So often they had moved half way up the mountain and rolled back down again - like parking a car on a slope and forgetting to put the handbrake on! I knew that it wasn't because the coaching was to blame, and neither were the clients, there was just something which was acting as a block.
Luckily for us all, I've found the answer - NLP/HGE - there are only 3 reasons (and we'll strike that word and substitute excuses) for things not working out. No, honestly there are, and this is them:
Negative Emotions - Anger (+ frustration), Sadness, Fear (+ anxiety)and Guilt
Ineffective Strategies - not doing the right thing to get the result - you know like running east to find the sunset, spending more than you earn, etc
Limiting Beliefs - I can't; I'm not ...; I must; I should; I have to; try; etc etc
These all amount to excuses we make. We even begin to blame things on them! Can you imagine blaming anything on anything. Heck, it'd be like blaming the weather for being unable to go out for a walk!
I chose to study and become a Master Practitioner in NLP/HGE because I saw its worth - having done so, and having gone through all the processes, I can honestly say that despite the work I had done up til then, this stuff blew my socks off!! It was fast, efficient, painless - and believe me I was hiding from a lot of what I thought would be painful! Yes I got emotional, and it lasted all of 5 minutes. 40 cough cough years of pretending, gone up in smoke in 5 minutes - that was worth the training and it's what makes me so passionate about why it's brilliant for everyone.
What else I hear you ask - well, let me tell you!! Sshh, come closer - you're going to be amazed - it was content free - yup, I didn't have to say a word about what I was embarrassed about, ashamed of, really angry about or what truly made me sad.
Ok, there was a bit of history given, and that was just to see what patterns had re-occurred. That was an indication of what I was avoiding - and some!! But it felt safe, it was like there was no judgement being made, she wasn't interested in why but more the 'how' had this happened. She didn't want me to re-enter the specific occasions. She did want me to get hold of the 'feeling' in my body - but that was so she could get rid of it - and heaven's above, it did!!
The way that I was helped to look at issues/patterns/problems which were holding me back was a fascinating insight into recognising that my values were sound - and due to some fear of what might be, I wasn't working towards them, rather running like a headless chicken to get away from the opposite. Bring it on, that's what I say!!
Here's an example - one fear I had was public speaking, presentations etc. They scared me big time. Only a week, after sorting it out, I presented for 30 minutes to a group of 30 people. Yes I had a feeling of nervousness, but not fear. I kept myself calm, I visualised what I'd be like if I didn't have the fear, I got up and I performed - yee haa.
What else - I've found a new ability to be able to set outcomes - know what I want and get it. It turns out that to know what you want at the end and then come backwards is the way to go forwards!!! Hope you followed that! The truth is though, that we tend to hold ourselves back - we need to think bigger, a term I love to call dreamalistic - a cross between dreaming and realistic! Sounds good doesn't it!
It's also important to remember that once you know what you want, when you see that you aren't heading in the right direction anymore (ie compass has lost its bearing) then you remain flexible enough in your approach to be able to alter the way you are going about it.
I totally love the expression Wanton Experimentation - because it epitomises the way I like to be - if it doesn't work one way, try another, if that doesn't work, try another. Be responsible for what you are doing and the outcomes you are creating for yourself - there's no point blaming someone/something else - they can't make what is change for you. A lot of acceptance has to go on, instead of stewing that it's wrong, accept it is, and then make changes accordingly. Eg. if you've asked for a cup of cappuccino and get a hot chocolate, you can rant and rave, you can demand to see the manager, you can take them to court, but it won't make a jot of difference to what is actually in the cup, will it! Work with what is at all times - no regrets, no expectations, and keep shifting your way to fit the current situation to get what you want. (All being ecological etc - ie good for those around you, family, community, country, world, planet etc!!)
You might think that's easy for me to say, but I've found out the hard way and by trial and error, I now only ever believe that I am my own white knight!! If you want to ask what I've faced - I'll happily share.

Just for some indication of how long it takes, and everyone varies - 2-8 hours of coaching combined with a bit of therapeutic intervention should sort it out. I even guarantee my work - as long as you do as you are asked, cos there will be homework, then if what we're working on is not sorted in the stipulated time frame, you will be entitled to free coaching until it is.
